What To Expect
Frequently Asked Questions
What will the experience be like?
The services at West Point Baptist Church include music and a message. We'll also throw in some media occasionally as well. Our music minister will lead the music portion of the service which will feature a blend of music. The message always focuses on giving the Bible practical application to your life. The Sunday service (music and message) lasts for approximately 60 - 70 minutes. You will find West Point Baptist Jacksonville to be a warm and friendly group who enjoys the fellowship of one another including you, our guest.
How early should I get there?
Plan on arriving to the church about 15 minutes before the service is scheduled to begin. This will give you time to park (we have spaces reserved for our guests) and find your way to your class or the sanctuary.
What should I wear?
At WPBC, you will find a mix of casual clothes, suits and ties, and dresses. We will welcome you however you are dressed.
Will I Be Singled Out?
We realize you will be nervous in a new place and would not single you out. We do ask that you fill out a guest card and place it into the offering plate during the collection.
What About My Children?
During Sunday school, we have classes for all ages. During the worship service, our children will remain in the worship center for the musical portion of the service and then go upstairs for a worship service designed for their age level. It is designed for children from birth through fifth grade. Your child will experience age-appropriate lessons and activities designed to introduce them to Jesus Christ.
